Hi everyone! This fishing report will be short and sweet due to the fact we are crazy busy! Another great week of fishing is in the books. We battled some pretty bad winds for a few days, but other than that the weather couldn’t have been more beautiful!
Walleye fishing was fantastic. We saw a ton of big fish caught in the 25+ range. 1 31incher was caught this week on a minnow. Minnows seem to be the key still, but leeches are starting to get good. We are seeing some fish move out to the humps now. This means that the fishing is going to become rather unpredictable as the fish will be spread between summer and spring spots. This shouldn’t be a problem, but we will have to fish more spots to find the same number of fish we have been catching.
Northern are still going good on Cisco’s in Jackfish and East Bay. Some groups had a ton of big ones this week in the evenings!
Bass are at their best time of year. They are on the beds. They are hitting very good on top water and on tubes. If you want to use live bait, crawlers and leeches are working well.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE plan ahead for your upcoming trip to NOT arrive to Manotak before check in time, which is 2 PM. We know everyone is excited to hit the water but every cabin is being cleaned on Saturdays, so it is important that our cleaners have enough time to ensure that everything is perfect for your trip. Thanks!
