We missed our fishing report last week and we apologize for not getting one written. This past week has been some amazing weather. This is unfortunate because we need rain in a bad way. Forest fire risk is very high at this time and the lake level is extremely low. Please plan on cooking fish with propane stoves on your trip. There is not a fire ban at the moment but we have been strongly suggesting everyone to use propane. The past 2 weeks have been very good fishing for all species.

Walleye are starting to push to deep water. We have seen fish caught in 30ft but mostly in the 20-25’ range. Leeches have been the key, but now the leech bite has slowed way down and turned to a minnow bite. The sandbar has heated up and been a fun time this past week.

Bass have moved to the deeper break lines and are loving the tube jigs and deep diving crank baits. We have seen quite a few in the 19-20” range!!

Northern are hanging in the weeds, but the really big northern have moved to the deep rocky points and rock piles. Spinner baits and spoons are working very well for them.

The perch bite in Spadina has been great. We have seen big numbers of 10-12 inch fish coming out. Crawlers have been the best thing for the perch.

This season is flying by very fast. We are starting to fill up for June 2019, so if you want to get your reservation you should get it before we are all filled up. Also we have a few spots left for fall fishing and grouse hunting! Buy one get one half off!
