Manotak Lodge Pre-season Newsletter – March 14, 2023
Thank you to everyone who came out to the sports shows! We love talking to our guests and meeting new ones! We are getting excited for the 2023 fishing season and cannot wait to see all the trophies caught by our guests. We were surprised how many people do not know that the vaccine mandates and all border measures for Canada are over. The border is back to normal and we could not be happier!
2023 Guest Confirmations will be going out by early April! They will be emailed to the group leader.
Although 2023 is shaping up to be a busy season now that the vaccine mandates are over, we do still have availability! Calling or emailing is the best way to check your preferred dates and cabin. Reservations can be fluid, with guests changing weeks and our process is manual so we do not keep a list online as it would be too cumbersome to update. Here are the openings as of March 14th:
May 20-27 – Many options – fish are hungry!
May 27-June 3 – Cabin 12 (sleep 2 Any Plan) and Cabin 7 (sleeps 2 American Plan)
June 3-10 – Sold Out

July 1-8 – Sold Out
July 8-15 – one cabin left! Cabin 1 – any plan and sleeps up to 12 – will book any group size!
July 15-22 – Cabin 1 (sleeps 12 any plan), Cabin 14 (sleeps 4 any plan), Cabin 5 (sleeps 2 American Plan)
July 22-29 – Cabin 1A (sleeps 3 any plan), Cabin 15 (sleeps 4 any plan), Cabins 5 & 11 (sleeps 2 each cabin American Plan)
July 29 – Aug 5 – one cabin left! Cabin 1 – any plan and sleeps up to 12 – will book any group size!
August is a fantastic time to fish! Fish are stable on rock humps and easy to find, musky action heats up, smallmouth are fun, and perch are on fire! Warm during the day and cools off at night. Bugs are going away! ALL of our Lindner fishing videos were filmed in August! Go to www.manotak.com and there are 4 videos to show you how great it is to fish in August!

We are always doing our best to keep up with maintenance and improvements at Manotak. Obviously being closed nearly two years with no income and continued bills is having an impact on current and future projects. It will take a few years to fully recover. In 2023 we have a huge and costly undertaking planned. We will be replacing our septic system. You may see trucks and equipment coming into camp. Most of the process will be out of sight. Most importantly, your visit will not be impacted by the work. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Lastly, we are terribly saddened that many guests were not able to visit in 2022 due to the vaccine mandate not being dropped until Sept 30, 2022. If you told us in advance that you were not coming due to the mandate and had a deposit for 2022, please contact us.
