Week 4 Fishing
Fishing:Well, week 4 was very similar to week 3. As of June 15th, all fish sanctuaries are open! Lots of smallmouth being caught in Jackfish. Had a 30″ walleye this week. People are starting to really have great luck with leeches, but minnows are also very popular.New Staffing:We are also thrilled to report we have a new couple coming from Newfoundland TODAY and they start work tomorrow! Gary and Juliette Crowley will be joining us for the remainder of the season. They are used to camp life and we expect they will fit right in easily. Also, I think I mentioned in a prior post, Jeremy Hughes joined us a little over a week ago as our cook! He’s also fitting in great and cooking up some tasty food! His fiance’ Sarah is with him and she will be working at the Highway 105 Grill in Ear Falls, and helping us with changeover on Saturdays. We are thrilled to have them both here as part of the Manotak family as well.Internet/webcam:We have internet at Cabin 1!!! Every cabin at Manotak Lodge should now have a strong WiFi signal. We do still have trouble with connection speed some days and have to re-set the router just due to our location. As for the webcam, we still also have to re-set the router and camera at times but hope you will continue to watch when it’s working! We get just as frustrated as you do when it is not working.Reservations:We continue to take reservations for the rest of the season so if you have not made your reservation for 2015, please call 800-541-3431!
