Week 4 Fishing ReportHi everyone! Another week is in the books! We cannot believe how fast the 2016 season is flying by. Fall reservations are booking up fast, so if you are interested please give us a call as soon as possible. Also remember about our buy one get one half off fall special, and about grouse season which opens on September 15th. They are a blast to hunt and very tasty in the frying pan!
Now to the fishing report! Very unstable weather caused for some tricky patterns, but still didnt dissapoint with big fish. Tons of walleye in the 25+ range. Most everyone was using a jig and a minnow. White jigs seamed to be a hot bait. As for the hot spots the rock wall was producing very well along with Freddy’s Point (first point on the left going into East Bay,) Cedar Island, and the southeast side of Hatfield Island. Expecting the walleye to be on the shallow humps by mid week this week.
Perch are starting to bite, but not in full force yet. Spadina was good hit and miss last week along with Church Lake. They will be into the shallower weeds very soon.
Bass were on the nests most of the week and were being caught using Sinko worms and tube jigs. Top water bite was there but not crazy good yet.
Happy fishing!
