Week 3 – Fishing and Stuff
Week 3 fishing was nothing short of fantastic. I know we ate a lot of shore lunch fish that groups shared with us! Walleye were caught at the Wall, Whale Rock, the Slot, and minnows and a jig are still working great. At least 10 30″ walleye were caught and released last week. Also a 40″ pike caught and released by Chris Bond. Perch are starting to go shallow and two to three groups this week have caught and released perch of the dock that were over 13″.Guides Mike and Willie have been in camp this week and taking guests to a lot of fun spots and catching lots of big fish. Be sure and let us know when you want a guide so we can arrange in advance and meet your needs.I am pleased to say we hired a new cook who started Sunday and he’s awesome! I finally had time to go to town for a Wal-mart run and greatly appreciate his expertise in the kitchen thus far. You may also meet his fiance’ Sarah who is helping out on a part time basis.
