However, before you go out and lure in the fish, it is important to know what you are looking for in the water.
Walleye
Walleye is a freshwater fish native to most of Canada and the Northern United States.The Walleye, also called the yellow walleye is to distinguish it from the blue walleye. Walleyes are largely gold and olive in color and have a large mouth with many sharp teeth. Their average length length is 16-18 inches and they can get as big as 31 inches and weigh up to 20 lbs.

Northern Pike
Northerns are usually olive green with shading from yellow to white along the belly. Younger Pike will have yellow stripes on a green body. This predator is one of the easiest fish to catch because it so willingly bites lures or bait. Most northern’s are 16–22 in. long but in Perrault, they average 27″ in length.
Muskie
Muskie, also known as Muskellunge, can be the most difficult to find. Muskies are light green, light brown, or silver, and usually, have dark bars running up and down their long bodies. On average a Muskie is 28–48 in long and weighs between 15–36 lbs. A Muskie waits in weed beds and then lunges forward, clamping its large, tooth-lined jaws onto the prey. They will eat fish and sometimes ducklings and even small muskrats.
