Summer fishing season is flying by! Here’s the breakdown so far.

Walleye – we had our first 30″ caught by guide Steve today! Lot’s of 22″ -29″walleye have been caught since the start of the season. Fish have been primarily hitting on jigs with minnows and the leach bite is starting to pick up. Walleye are in 6-10 feet of water. No fish on humps/reefs yet. Some hot spots are East Bay and Drum Island. Snake pit produced a few but not small enough for shore lunch.

Northern Pike – fishing has been consistently good all year with sizes in the high 30″ caught. Hot spots are Jackfish along with First, Second, and Grassy Bay.

Smallmouth – nest building in the shallows has started. Top water bite has been good on calm days. Tubes and rubber worms are good on rough days. Had an 18″ and many 17″ caught consistently. Church Lake, Spadina/Rainy, and just north of the burnt bridge have all been good for bass.

Musky opener is June 17th! Looking forward to seeing some giant fish caught!

Perch and crappie are also being caught! Come see our map to find out where!
