Fishing Report – Week 5

Summer is just flying by! We had a group go on a fly out this past week and they had a blast! 30 minute plane ride and then a ton of fish caught during the day. On Perrault Lake, fishing has been fantastic! All the fish sanctuaries are now open. Walleye were plentiful with so many over 18″ it is sometimes difficult to catch shore lunch. Speaking of shore lunch, when you hire a guide for the day or week, the guide will cook your shore lunch which is a real treat! We can arrange for a guide while you are here or you can call us before you arrive. We do need 24 hours notice in most cases as the guides do not live on-site. Our guides have been guiding on Perrault Lake since 1964!The largest Northern Pike was caught by Lou last week at 42.5. I will post a photo in the photos section of the website and also on Facebook and Twitter shortly. Perch are starting to become more plentiful and some large ones have been caught! I didn’t hear much about Smallmouth Bass this week, but I didn’t get down to the dock as much as I’d like to hear all the stories.Well, a lot to do before week 6 guests arrive for today’s Musky opener! Fluke Lake, our Musky lake, also opens today. We have boats ready and waiting for you to catch some Musky! We are excited to meet everyone!-  Christine
