Latest Camp News and Fishing Report
WOW! Been very very busy lately. Haven’t been able to get on and write a fishing report! Last week was some of the most amazing fishing of the year! 1 guy caught 3 walleyes over 30 inches in ONE day. In the past 2 weeks we have had close to 10 Walleyes caught over 30!Rainy, cold, and windy day today. The lake level is still very low. We are praying for a ton of snow this winter to raise the levels for next spring. Rainy, Jackfish, and the Ord river are still accessible, but very shallow getting in. We have had a wet summer but just not wet enough to get the lake level where we want it.The walleye bite has changed back to minnows. For a couple weeks they wanted nothing but leeches, but now the minnow bite is slightly better. Almost all of the giant fish were caught off of shore lunch hump. Sand Dunes have been productive along with Nellies Rock and the humps around Burnt Island.Bass have been hitting very good on worms and leeches in about the same depth as the walleye, some days a bit shallower. 1st and 2nd bay have also been good for bass along the shorelines here lately too.Eater pike have been in the weeds but all of the big ones are being caught in deeper water on humps and deep points.Musky fishing has been great also. Some smaller fishing being caught and some giants being raised.Safe Travels to anyone heading our way!- Christine
