Quick post – fishing news and fly-out infoFishing has been awesome this week! Had a 30.5 walleye caught by burnt bridge, 42″ pike, 20″ smallmouth and many more! Check the big fish poster in the fish house when you arrive!
We are excited to announce that we will be working with KayAir to provide daily fly-out trips to either Zizania or Oak Lakes. Cost is $200 per person to drive to KayAir’s air base about 20 minutes north of here. If you want picked up at the Manotak dock the fee is $300 per person. The fee is payable to KayAir in USD cash before you depart.
FIRE BAN is still in effect! Conditions are very dry here, even though we are getting much needed rain today. We do not know when the ban will be lifted but as soon as we hear we will let you know. Absolutely no camp fires! Unfortunately many people ignored the ban over the past weekend in NW Ontario and there were 22 new fires! If you have seen the coverage of the wildfire in Fort McMurray Alberta then you can see how dangerous this situation is for all of NW Ontario.
